Tracking Drug Smugglers And Unauthorized Migrants With The Coast Guard In Miami

On this day in 1915, the U.S. Coast Guard was founded to fight contraband trade and aid distressed vessels at sea. Here is an inside look into how the Coast Guard tracks smugglers today.

After spending time at Coast Guard boot camp, Senior Video Correspondent Graham Flanagan travelled to Miami to see how the Coast Guard combats drug smuggling and illegal immigration from the air and the sea. In January, a Miami-based Coast Guard vessel was involved in the seizure of a boat carrying 132 pounds of cocaine.
