Discussing Infrastructure Workforce Strategies

The FEDforum is brought to you by WAEPA. New Year, New Rates! This year, WAEPA’s rates are even more exclusive than before. Visit WAEPA.org to check out our new rates today.

This FEDforum is FYB—For Your Benefit. This week, hear from the National Academy of Public Administration.

Join the National Academy of Public Administration's Center for Intergovernmental Partnerships in three weeks on Thursday, February 24th, 2022, from 2:00 to 3:45 PM ET, for a discussion of effective practices to help communities meet the significant challenge of finding and training the workers necessary to execute critical infrastructure projects.

Academy President Terry Gerton and two of the Center's Executive Board Members, Henry Cisneros and Sarah Rosen Wartell, will offer their perspectives. Ed Mortimer of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce will provide a keynote address.

Following those remarks, a panel of experts will address workforce development challenges and offer constructive ideas to ensure that the country has the workforce it needs to deliver the vision of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA).

The column from the National Academy of Public Administration is part of the FEDforum, an initiative to unite voices across the federal community. The FEDforum is a space for federal employee groups to share their organizations’ initiatives and activities with the FEDmanager audience.
