Federal Developmental Opportunities Workshop

The registration is open for the May 4 Federal Leadership and Professional Development Seminar Series (FLPDSS) workshop: Developmental opportunities - How federal employees can receive development and host opportunities to develop others. This cross-agency workshop will focus on developmental opportunities 1) for federal employees to develop themselves, and 2) for supervisors to develop their teams and to bring in outside talent. Our expert speakers will be coming from BEA, DOT, EPA, HHS, LOC, NOAA, OPM, and State Department. We will start off the day with an introduction to developmental opportunities, how to receive and host them, and why they’re valuable. Following this introduction, we will dive more deeply into cross-agency experiential programs; details and rotations; USAJOBS Open Opportunities; coaching and mentoring; and starting and managing mentoring programs. The full agenda is below. Attendees may attend part or all of the workshop.

Note that Registration is required for attendance and restricted to Federal employees. Registrants must register with their federal email address to receive admission. There is no fee, but registration will assist with planning and capacity limitations. Please note that the recording of this workshop will be posted on the seminar YouTube Channel within 1 month of the workshop.
