This Week on FEDtalk: The Veterans’ Employment and Training Service
The annual veteran unemployment rate for 2015 remained lower than non-veterans for the fifth consecutive year, thanks in part to the hard work of the Veterans’ Employment and Training Service (VETS).
VETS, an agency within the Department of Labor, prepares America's veterans, service members and their spouses, for meaningful careers, provides them with employment resources and expertise, protects their employment rights and promotes their employment opportunities.
Tune in to FEDtalk this week as host Jason Briefel talks to the VETS Deputy Assistant Secretary for Policy, Teresa W. Gerton, and the U.S. Small Business Administration's Associate Administrator for the Office of Veterans Business Development, Barb Carson.
The radio show aired Friday, January 22, at 11:00 a.m. ET on Federal News Radio. Missed the show? Listen now or anytime via the player below.
