REGISTRATION OPEN FOR THE EEOC EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE 

In its third year, the EEOC Executive Leadership Conference has empowered and motivated its attendees to be better leaders and role models in their agencies. Designed for senior leaders in the EEO and HR fields, this conference ensures that attendees have the necessary leadership skills to continue to excel in their careers. The conference offers a variety of workshops focused on professional development and personal growth skills - all of which make-up the well-rounded leader.

This conference is designed for senior EEO officials from federal, state and local governments, EEO executives from the private sector, and those who seek to move into senior positions.  HR executives who have significant responsibilities in managing and implementing an EEO program are also encouraged to attend.  Conference registration is limited to the GS-14 and above population, and equivalents.

  • Speed Mentoring Event where attendees can receive one-on-one coaching/mentoring sessions with seasoned Senior Executives; and

LEADING CHANGE: 2013 AAFEA TRAINING WORKSHOP (SEPTEMBER 2013) 

Registration is now open for the 2013 Training Workshop, September 16th and 17th, 2013, at the Department of State Marshall Conference Center in Washington DC. 

This two-day event features workshops and presentations that focus on the programs, policies, practices, and processes that promote career-enhancing opportunities and the core subjects critical for becoming a member of the SES.  Sessions include Overcoming Challenges to Change, Preparing for the Interview, Ethics for Senior Federal Leaders, and Overview of the SES Qualifications & Selection.  

Confirmed speakers include the Honorable Kweisi Mfume, former Congressman and former President/CEO, NAACP and Clarence Johnson, Director for Civilian Equal Employment Opportunity, Department of Defense. Many other distinguished speakers - including current and retired members of the SES, Ivy League faculty, and corporate executives - are also scheduled to attend. 

The AAFEA Training Workshop is intended for government employees and military personnel. The sessions are geared towards professionals with experience at the GS-13 and above level (or equivalent experience outside the federal government).
