YGL is a professional organization of men and women employed by or for the government who are “young” in their service and/or “fresh” in their perspective. YGL was founded in 2003 by a handful of young federal employees interest in connecting with their peers. Its mission is to educate, inspire, and transform the current and future leaders of government. YGL's membership consists of over 1800 (and counting) young feds at more than thirty U.S. departments and agencies. It is committed to serving as a coordinated voice for the current and future generations of young government leaders by providing a community of leadership through professional development activities, networking opportunities, social events, seminars, fellowships, and scholarships.

The first Tuesday of each month, YGL writes its own feature column in the FEDmanager.com E-Report. YGL uses its monthly column to voice its fresh perspective, and offer news and information, not just for current and future generations of young government leaders, but to all feds interested in hearing from the generation who will meet the next set of challenges facing the federal government. YGL's monthly column in FEDmanager.com is interactive. YGL wants to hear from you too! So, if you have a question, comment or idea you want to share with YGL, and get their feedback, submit it here on FEDmanager.com.
