Congress Votes to Extend Payroll Tax Holiday, Increase Pension Contributions for New Feds

Congress on Friday approved a conference report that extends the payroll tax holiday through 2012. The extension will be paid for in part by increasing the amount new federal employees will have to contribute toward their government pensions.
